i'm like a bird, i always fly away. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
[/font] there was, in all honesty, nothing that rayne rivers could complain about, or so she thought. her parents were amazing to her and always have been. they were both extremely hard working business people that ran businesses all over the world. however, they still did try and make time for rayne, it wasnt like she never knew her parents like most of the rich kids around. she cared very much about her parents and vice versa. she did have a few good nannies growing up as well, as most people with a social status such as herself did. however, she didn't flaunt herself around because of the things she was blessed with. she didn't think she was better than anyone else, she grew around kids like that and she never considered befriending kids like that, those who thought they were so much better than some one else. she knew it wasn't her fault that they lived such a great lifestyle, it was her parents fault. so if anyone deserved to have a big ego about it, it would have to be them. not her. she had the money, the parents, and the friends. she wasn't an 'it' girl at all, being mean to people and wearing stupid clothes was something she wasn't in for. she was simply respected by most of her peers because of her personality if anything. rayne rivers was a very nice and caring person, she was friendly, bubbly, sweet and kind. she didn't have to many enemies, she didn't start any problems. she strongly disliked fights and arguments, and violence period. however, if she had to stand up or what she believed in she would do it without a problem. she wasn't afraid to stick up for herself, she just didnt like dragging herself into situations that she would have to do so in the first place. rayne was also a very good college student. she majored in journalism at milan university. she has always had a passion for many things when she was little, dancing, art, acting, and so on. but one thing she could never get tired of is writing. she loved writing almost everything, another thing that acting and writing could do was have you step in some one elses shoes, she didnt know what it was like to live a life some other people would live, so she loved when she was assigned to write papers about certain situations going on in the world. she just had a passion for informing people about common problems through her writing. any type of emotion, she thought, could be let out through picking up a pen and scribbling down a bunch of words on a piece of paper. if rayne was passionate about something she never would give up, and she was fulfilling one of her goals at the moment. to go to college, now that she was here she knew she could not let anything get in her way or distract her, and she didnt think that would ever happen. she didn't get easily distracted like some people she knew. once she had her mind set on something, she was fully determined to complete it. one of the reasons she did so well in high school. she didn't even know why she was getting dressed for this thing. but she knew a friend of hers, and the girl basically begged her to show, so she decided she might as well. dressed in this she sat in the limo as she pulled up. she would be entering alone, because she had no date. ugh, she felt pathetic for even trying to dress up for this event. she looked stupid. its not like rayne had low self esteem or anything...she just, she had the worst luck with guys, and social events. she wasnt a partier at all, but she was meeting a few friends here and all. walking inside, a small smile hit her face as she saw how beautiful everything was already. just how she imagined a masquerade ball...only..she had a date with her of course. he would be tall, charming, handsome, and all hers. as in, they weren't like the typical guy that went and cheated on the girl they were suppose to love. they would actually love and cherish her, just hold her in his arms and never let go..ugh, she had the mind of a thirteen year old, not literally, but when it came to love. she was always the friend. she had the worst luck with guys, to top it off. walking inside she sighed, her purse strapped around her shoulder tightly, she took out her cell and text one of her friends. she had no idea where the girl was, everyone's mask was on including hers. while waiting on the text to return she made her way to a table far away from the crowd and sat down. ugh. she hated feeling this way, alone and unimportant. she didnt crave attention she just want use to being on the..outside looking in. she store out on the dance floor and smiled, looking around. the ballroom was amazing. the couples all looked pretty, they were dress nicely, and danced so lovely. she sighed, making her way onto the ballroom patio and looking out at the view. there wasnt anyone out here with her, but the lighting was perfect. italy was a beautiful place, many people did believe that italy was a great place when it came to romance. but..romance? for her? so unlikely, it was pathetic. she heard a voice, a guys voice and she turned to look at him. she didnt know who he was, and she was pretty sure he didnt know who she was due to the masses covering their faces. "hey." she said in return, a small smile came upon her face. flattered that the guy would even come out of her way to make conversation with her. but who was her? she couldnt tell, but she did know his eyes were so nice. they were light green and reflected hers very well. god, he had her at hello. who was this..perfect stranger behind the mask? did she know him. his voice did seem familiar, but then again not to familiar as for her to tell who he was. looks like i'm not alone anymore she told herself in her mind as she store into the strangers eyes, letting him speak and everything. [/blockquote][/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - i dont know where my home is.

i'm heavily broken. and there's nothing i can do. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - chandler wasn't one to spend his days idly. he was always on the move. even when he was teaching, he was moving around the classroom, and admiring the way all the female's eyes seemed to follow him so hungrily. he couldn't help but admit that all of these women were fairly easy. well, most of them anyway. he'd never force himself on someone that didn't want it, or was scared of him, but most of the women in his classes came onto him. he just didn't deny them what they obviously wanted so badly. he would never admit that he'd only become a professor because he knew that the women would be all over him. he'd probably quit when he got too old for college girls to interest him, or for him to interest them, whichever came first. he knew he had to get married eventually, because it was what his family demanded, but for now, he could just keep having fun. after all, they were obviously having fun with him. he'd had several invitations to come to this even with some of them, but he'd turned them all down. tonight was about something bigger.
there was one student who denied him every time he made an advance toward her. he knew that it wasn't because she wasn't into him. he saw the way she looked at him when she thought he wasn't looking back. sure, it wasn't painfully obvious or anything, but he picked up on signals occasionally. he just didn't know how to go about seducing her, when she so obviously pushed him away. he'd been humiliated in front of his friends enough times to feel the stings to his pride every time he looked at her. she was his ultimate goal for the week. she was like a prize that he needed to get. she would succumb to him yet. so, when he found out that she was going to the ball, he couldn't help but develop a plan. while discussing it with one of the few guy friends he actually had, they had come up with some ridiculous bet. the truth was, he'd have done it for his own personal gain, but the fact that his guy friend wanted to bet his brand new yacht on her flesh, was fine by him. he could take her out on it after he won it from the idiot. his other friend had bet his new pool table. chandler thought that the pool table would look particularly good in his new yacht. sure, getting her to fall for him, would be a bit harder, but he was an expert at this, and she would be his in no time. it helped that he had this ball to accomplish his goals. somehow karma always worked out for him. he knew that he was a lucky jerk, but damn, this was almost too perfect.
he had spent a meticulous amount of time getting ready for the ball. he'd picked out an outfit that hid his face and body fairly well. he wanted to make sure that there was no way she could be completely sure who he was. after all, it wouldn't work if she didn't fall for it completely. he was supposed to be mysterious prince charming, and he would of course, pretend he had no idea who she was when they met again. he'd give her his number or something, and then she'd call him, and it wouldn't be until they met that he'd feign surprise at her actual identity. then they'd already be out together, so she couldn't deny him at least one date. that meant, he had two nights to charm the pants off her, literally. "piece of cake." he mumbled to himself as he straightened his tie. he was well acquainted with getting a woman into bed, so this should be fairly easy. especially if she didn't know who he was, and then she'd let her guard down. he knew he had quite a reputation around campus as a womanizer, but he couldn't help it if they so easily fell into his lap.
he arrived at the party a bit later than he'd planned, but when he walked in and nobody recognized him, he knew that his plan had worked. there were at least 3 girls that he'd seen that he'd been intimate with, and none of them had recognized who he was. so, there was no way that rayne would be able to recognize his face. he felt surprised that it had worked so well. after all, she was just another conquest, but he'd certainly put a lot of thought into getting into her pants. the thing was, he didn't even care about the bet, he just wanted something to hide behind as an excuse to get close to her. he didn't normally get close to people, but there was something about Rayne that made his heart do little flips, and he thought that if he could get her into bed, then maybe his heart would stop acting up so much around her. maybe his stomach would sink every time she walked away from him.
he went into search mode as he looked through all the faces for someone that looked like the woman who he was looking for. he spotted her out on the balcony and he couldn't help but smile. she looked absolutely gorgeous. he walked out to her and put on a very sweet smile. "Hey." he said with a grin, and held out his hand for her to take it, so he could kiss her hand like a proper gentleman would. "I was wondering if you would mind gracing me with a dance." he asked, getting oddly into character.

i'm like a bird, i always fly away. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
[/font] who was this guy? she observed him carefully, hoping that she oculd get some type of hint. some type of clue? anything. she had no clue who he was, and she was pretty good with faces. once she saw someone, and if she saw them again it would be pretty easy for her to point out who they were. aww, he was lovely. the way he smiled at her, the way he spoke to her. so nice, and so sweet, ugh it felt like her heart would just melt right then and there. she knew that most guys weren't so kind, and so nice, and so courteous and all. this was just their way of getting into a character they never knew. masquerade balls where pretty romantic, way different from the average party scene in her opinion. this was so romantic, it was just them, alone, and although she didnt know who he was quite yet, he seemed nice enough. when he held out her hand to take hers, her green eyes traveled from his eyes down to his hand as she moved her hand into his. watching their hands move as he lifted her hand up to his lips and kissed it softly. she bit down on her bottom lip lightly, trying to hold in the giggling. she was seriously flattered. like, in all honesty, she didnt receive attention like this. so this was just very nice. it was nice, a change like this all of a sudden. maybe she had picked out a very nice dress? maybe light brown and black were her colors? who knows. or maybe..he was just like all the other guys, hoping to bring a girl home with him from tonight and get into her pants and all of that jazz. ugh, she really hoped not. looking into his light green eyes, he didn't seem like those type of guys. hearing him speak, he didn't seem like it. her heart just about skipped a beat..or two when he asked her to dance. he wanted to dance with her? was she dreaming, had she fallen into a day dream at that table where she had been sitting alone? but this felt real, and it just felt so right. she nodded her head as he asked her, a smile lighting up her face. " of course i wouldn't mind. i'd love to dance with you. " she said, stepping closer to the mysterious guy in front of her and wrapping her arms around his shoulders. looking up at him, and obvious height difference of course. she was pretty short, not too short, but short enough. however, she didnt mind staring up into a guys eyes. the smile stayed on her face as she store up at him, as she began dancing with him. this was perfect, better than the main ballroom itself, because it was just the two of them. oh gosh! one thing she did know was that she'd definitely be telling dakota and vanity about this. they were her two best friends, the three of them were like a triple threat. she loved them both equally, so there was no way she was holding this back from them. opening her mouth to speak she said, " you are a very nice dancer, and thanks for providing me company. my friends sort of invited me..well dragged me to come here and all. thing is, i don't see them anywhere...for obvious reasons." she said, laughing a little. she had planned to meet a few of her friends here, but they were nowhere to be found. hell, she didn't even know what color their dresses would be. she sort of decided to come to this thing last minute, so that was just perfect for her. dances just weren't her thing. she was a great dancer though, took classes when she was little and everything. but she felt like people didnt view dance for the beauty it really was. people just danced to charm now a days. charmed to flirt, and flirted to have sex. what was with sex? why couldn't people just get enough of it. she wasn't against it or anything, but hooking up with no type of feelings at all for the other person was just pathetic in her book. why would a girl disrespect herself like that? worst of all, the girls that did disrespect themselves like that were fairly good looking, and it just made it seem like all girls were like that now a days. the truth was, they were. but there was always those few girls people hardly noticed that stood out from the crowd. rayne rivers was definitely one of those girls. as for guys went, she couldnt stand the fact that guys...especially the good looking ones were such jerks! they'd sleep around like they had not one thing in the world to worry about, and she could not stand that about guys. you'd think they slow it down as they got older, but no. still the same as ever. like a professor she knew. professor harrison, yes, he was undoubtedly very handsome, charming, attractive, but personality wise she could not stand him. she just hated the fact that she disliked him so much. he flirted with her from time to time, but she knew that there was no hope there...due to the way he flirted with all of her classmates and all. he was just like every other guy! except he was older! the girls at the university were all over him because he was young, successful, rich, and single. however,he was staying that way there was no way one night in bed could make him change his mind. she didst understand why she even let him get to her so badly. maybe because she had actually hoped that he liked her, in other ways than just physical. maybe because she did like him deep down? but why? he was everything she hated in a guy. a flirt, a whore, and etc. why did guys use their good looks to full advantage. she loved modesty in a man. staring up at the stranger..or so she thought she said, " how about you tell me who you are...and i'll tell you who i am? " she asked, asking for a name and all. it would make things a lot easier, besides, she needed to know who he was. she had to know. who was the guy that was making her heart skip these many beats? who was he? [/blockquote][/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - i dont know where my home is.

i'm heavily broken. and there's nothing i can do. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - chandler was familiar to the female body, as well as the female mind. of course, most of the women he saw were all the same. they were brainless shopaholics with daddy's credit card. he didn't have to work very hard to get into their pants, or to convince them that staying friends was the best idea in the world. that was why he was such a popular guy still. he slept with girls all the time, but since he remained their friend afterward, it just kept him on the womens' good sides. he was like a wounded puppy sometimes, or at least he'd pretend to be. he'd usually do whatever it took to get a girl, as long as it didn't require him to take any huge hits to his pride, or anything like that. he usually managed to convince a girl that he was worth being with for a night or maybe two if he wasn't busy the next day and he was too lazy to go out and pick another girl up. he tended to not be with a girl more than one night in a row though if he could help it, because they usually got attached and thought they meant more than they actually did. The truth was, women didn't actually mean that much to him. He hadn't gotten close to anyone since his break up, and he planned on never falling head over heels like that again. heartache was only something worth experiencing once in life. his dad told him to learn from his experiences, so he did. he'd never fall in love again, because it was a waist of time.
He couldn't believe that he actually felt nervous asking her to dance. it wasn't like it was the end of the world if she said no. he would just find a new approach to ask her. he would keep figuring out ways until she was in his arms on that dance floor by the end of the night. fortunately for him, she said yes right away. so, she hadn't recognized him. this was a really good sign. he could start over fresh with her, no reputation to hold them back. not that he cared, this was only about getting in her pants right? although, he couldn't deny that she looked absolutely gorgeous in that dress tonight. he smiled and thanked her politely before wrapping his arms around her waist. he had intended to lead her onto the dance floor, but out here seemed far more romantic. not that romance really mattered to himm, but to her, it seemed like it did. besides, he enjoyed spending time with her no matter where they were. a crowded dance floor would mean he couldn't talk to her, and that just didn't sit right with him. he enjoyed talking with her.
"I'm sure they're having the time of their lives." he said with a grin, looking down at her. He then rested his chin on the top of her head and held her slightly closer. "Besides, i'm glad i get you all to myself." He said with a bit of surprised laugh. he was actually glad he had her to himself. which was odd, because if she'd had her friends with her, they probably would have encouraged her to be with him more. he was glad she hadn't told him no. he wasn't sure why, but there was something more to her, that he didn't see in a lot of girls. she seemed to carry herself with more dignity and respect. that was dangerous, but also a huge turn on. he didn't know it yet, but he was already beginning to fall for her in a big way. he was just trying to avoid the feelings as long as he possibly could. so instead, he thought about what she'd be like in bed, hopefully not as off-putting as she was in person, because that would really suck.
he had thought about her a lot lately. she was an undeniable presence in his mind, ever since she turned him down, multiple times. he could usually wear a girl down and convince her to go out with him, but she was a tough nut to crack. honestly, pretending to be someone else, a prince charming of sorts, was his only option to get her to even look at him that way. well, he knew that she probably thought he was attractive, since that was a fact that was hard to deny, but that didn't mean that she wanted to be with him. not that, he wanted to be with her either. not in any sense other than the physical one. sure, she was one of the smartest students he had, and he'd be fortunate to have her in his bed every night, but that didn't mean he was ready to commit to her. after all, it was just a silly bet. the only reason he wanted her so badly was to prove to his friends he could get her... wasn't it?
He laughed a bit at her next question and pulled away from their dance slightly to look down at her. then he leaned down and pressed her lips gently against her ear, while trailing his fingers gingerly up and down her spine through her dress, hoping it gave her tingles. he whispered "That's a secret." he said softly and pulled back and then took a bit of pity on her. "If you must call me something, you can call me james." it was his middle name, so it wasn't like he was lying to her. not that it would matter if he was or wasn't. she would get over it eventually. after all, she would spend the whole night with him, and then maybe she'd loosen up when he asked her out again. "By the way, you are the best dancer... i've ever danced with." that was the whole truth. she was a beautiful dancer, and an even more beautiful person, inside and out. that scared him a little.

[/font] when he mentioned her friends having the time of their lives she smirked, nodding her head a little in agreement. she was right, they probably just made her come to get her out of the house, or the library. she was a student studying journalism so she took all types of sideline classes. she had her mind up in the clouds. she was always distracted, with work. she was all work and no play, but hey..it had to be genetics because her parents were the exact same way. they were always working, when she was little. oddly, they still made time for her. they wanted her to know that they cared about her greatly. only, they just were a boring couple. like the average hard working couples now of days. their was no excitement about them being together. to make it worse they were stuck working together since they were both successful business partners. she did believe in love, and happiness she really did. she just had the worst luck with love, and guys period. her friends were always the ones with the guys all over them and all. not her, not ever. so to be receiving this all so sudden attention from this perfect stranger was just..perfect. she stood, staring up into his light green eyes. they were so nice ot look into. it was almost like they could read her heart, like..he could read her mind? she couldn't look away, or stop from smiling. even when she did give her smiles a little break, she did have a small smirk on her face as they danced. yeah, me too. their probably with their dates...lucky them." she smirked, hinting to the guy that she was single. she continued dancing with him, it just felt so right, his arms wrapped around her waist, her arms wrapped around his shoulders. she felt like she blushed when he said he was glad he had her all to himself. oh god, one would think she would notice the flirting from anywhere..but professor harrison didn't cross her mind once. there was no way she was dancing with one of her professors right now, right. thing was, she was..she just didn't know. however, it was better that way. she was enjoying her time way to much for that right now. if he had told her who he really was she would be so upset, basically because she felt something between herself and the stranger. she couldn't give it a name right then and there...this connection she had with him, just felt..right? " are you?..well, that's good. because i'm glad to be here with you right now..." she told him softly, a soft smile staying placed of her face as she store at him. she couldn't imagine this night being any more perfect. in fact, she never even thought that this would be happening between the two...or herself with anyone else for that matter... the slow dancing...the flirting. his charm, it was all so perfect. she couldn't ask for anything to be any better than this. this felt all to right at the moment. she felt safe with him, in his arms, no matter who he was. she didnt want to let go. she felt like she could dance with him all night long. whenever she did think about professor harrison, all the thoughts were bad. with a dash of good..if that made any sense at all. like, she'd be all 'why is he such a whore,..' then be all 'why does he look so nice today..!? ' in her head. ugh. and he hated the way he store at her sometimes, when he thought she wasnt looking..she hated it so much she loved it..that was possible. to hate something so much you loved it? there was a thin line between love and hate anyhow. so it had to be possible. he drove her crazy but she couldn't think of how she would be if she ad never met him. she was glad she had met him. however, she would never ever tell him that. why? so he could think he had an even better chance of sleeping with her. she wasnt like that. sure she was nice, and kind, and even a little naive at times, but she wasn't insecure, she had respect for herself and would not sleep with anyone she didn't have feelings for out of the blue. love brought you heartbreak...but flings didn't help it at all. there was disappointment in every little thing. so she didn't understand why people would find any excuse to give up on love. she did believe in love, and if she ever had a chance to take of love into her own hands she would, no doubt about it. then she had went on to ask him what his name was, and he had moved back from her. oh no. did she scare him away? she almost frowned then he had leaned down. his lips pressed against the side of her ear, she closed her eyes lightly. taking in every word he had to say, and she felt his finger tips traveling up her spine. ugh! it felt like chills were pacing up and down it, themselves! thats a secret he whispered in her ear. she store at him when he backed up, opening her eyes quickly to look into his eyes. she was about to say something but he had told her to call him james. " james.." she repeated with a smile on her face. she didnt know any 'james' so it was obvious that she did not know him at all. well, since he told her his name..or what she thought was his name she said, " my name's rayne, everyone calls me ray though..well most people." she told him, continuing to dance with him. this was nice..talking to him, and dancing with him. when he said she was the best dancer he ever danced with she could not help but smile. "really?" she asked, " well..i love dancing..and what about you..you're a good dancer too..i mean..you're perfect." she told him, staring into his eyes. " your eyes..i feel like i've store into them before..." she said, " their hard to look away from.." she told him. i'm heavily broken. and there's nothing i can do. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - he hoped that she was having a good time. Not just with him, but in general. Tonight was supposed to be about what a lot of girls fantasized about as kids. It was a ball, and they were there to meet prince charming. He hoped that he was portraying that image for her. He wanted to be the kind of guy she dreamt about being with, and now that dream could be a reality, at least for one night. His mission was to cast a spell over her, and convince her that he was the perfect guy. He wasn't the perfect guy, nowhere near that, but as long as she believed it, he had a chance to be with her. So, he couldn't do anything out of character of a true prince charming. After all, tonight was really about the women anyway, and how good they looked out there dancing and laughing. "You're with me though." He said with a smirk and held her a bit closer. "So, if anyone asks, you can just say that i'm your date." He said with a bit of a laugh. He was her date, sort of. He'd sort of nudged her friends into convincing her to come, even though he knew they could see through his tricks. He had expected her to be here, but he wouldn't have been too surprised if she wasn't. After all, there was no way of knowing if something would come up. So, he'd come on blind faith, that she'd be there waiting for him.
for some reason, her small frame, against his, felt so good to him. of course, in the physical aspect, it felt very good, but in a different aspect, if felt so... right. like she belonged there in his arms, and he was an idiot to ever let her leave them. he thought that was a ridiculous feeling, so he pushed it aside. he didn't fall for girls that way. he wasn't a fool anymore. "well i'm glad you're glad." He said with a silly laugh and wondered why there was nobody else out on the patio right now. it seemed like a perfect night for it. "... because there's nobody else i'd rather dance with." he said with a warm smile, and swayed with her back and forth. he couldn't even hear the music, but he didn't need to. all he needed was her body against his to know what the right tempo was. they could be playing rap, and he'd still be here, snuggling her in a slow dance. she was perfect for slow dancing. her small frame fit so well against his, that it almost felt like they were floating. he was worried that acting like her prince charming would be work, but it was nice.
he wasn't sure what it was about her that intrigued him. she had caught his attention from the first day she'd graced his presence in his classroom. she had an award winning smile and gorgeous eyes, but she knew things, things that set her apart from everyone else in his classes. she was intelligent, and she knew just how to talk to him, without him having to try to be the player he usually was. she challenged him and made him think. she gave him solid papers, and really showed him that students could excel in his classroom if he would stop flirting with them for fifteen minutes. he hadn't quite considered that a complete option yet, but he enjoyed that he could have an intelligent conversation with her, without having to worry about how soon he was getting into her pants. Sure, she irritated him sometimes, not only because she rejected his advances, but just because she bugged him on occasion. Of course, what girl didn't? if given the chance, bug him on occasion. He just liked that she didn't push herself on him, and that presented more of a challenge to him.
he wasn't quite sure how to respond to her asking him his name. he couldn't give it to her yet, but he didn't want to lie completely, so his middle name had been his best bet. whispering into her ear has sent shivers up and down his spine, just the feeling of his skin against her lips was driving him crazy, but he had the feeling she was getting a bit lightheaded as well. "that's right." he said, after she repeated his name. he felt a bit odd, not having his lips on her ear anymore. for some reason, they were tingling, and he couldn't make it stop. "well rayne, you look absolutely ravishing tonight." He said with a polite little bow of acknowledgement. He was getting way too into character, but he hoped that she didn't mind. She seemed to like it.
he laughed a little and shrugged. "I'm definitely not perfect." he said, knowing it was the truth. sure, he was a cocky bloke on occasion, but he knew that he wasn't the most perfect person in the world. nobody was. he looked down at her as she stared at him. he enjoyed her eyes on him. it made him feel an odd warmth that filled his body and seemed to overflow from his head to his toes. "maybe you have." He said, and brought his hand up to her chin, and tilted her face up toward his in order to get a better look at her gorgeous eyes. "You're not that easy to look away from yourself." he said with a smirk and gazed down at her with attempted affection. He wasn't the best at feigning affection, but it came easily with her, maybe it was real affection, and he just thought he was faking it. of course, he didn't know that yet.
"i think i'd like to kiss you." he said, asking permission. the truth was, he never asked permission. he wasn't the type of guy that needed it. usually a woman's body signals gave her away, but he was supposed to be a gentleman tonight. he moved his hand from her chin and down to cradle her neck. he inched his face closer so his lips were centimeters from her own and whispered, their breaths mingled. "Can i?" he asked with a slight smile in his voice. he was going to anyway, but he hoped she'd say yes, so he wouldn't feel like a bastard once he'd done it.

i'm like a bird, i'll only fly away. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
[/font] this guy had no clue what control he had over her this night. the setting was perfect, the mood was perfect, this was just so perfect. as for she went, perfect for her hardly ever happened. it was rare and very unlikely. then she had mentioned her friends being with their dates, and how lucky they were. then he mentioned that he was with her now, and she couldn't help but smile again. then he had said how that if anyone asked he was her date, and that she was with him. god, why did she feel so light all of a sudden like she'd fit into his arms? keeping her arms around him she continued to stare into his eyes, nodding her head she said, " well..in that case..lucky me?" she said, before biting down on her bottom lip softly. she sure did feel lucky. i mean, how often was it that people met their perfect stranger. she thought things like these only happened in movies. ugh, she was just excited for the time to pass. to see how much more she could figure out about him, before she saw who he really was. her body was pressed close against his, and she didnt want to part form him. not now, not ever. this all felt so right, so lovely. swaying with him, she wasnt even focused on the lovely music playing, just on his eyes. his light green eyes that mirrored hers. she couldnt help but wonder..has she store into these eyes before? they seemed so familiar, despite the fact they were similar to hers. she couldn't put a name on it, but some one she knew had eyes that glimmered so brightly like his, and eyes that could make a girls heart melt away slowly. this felt real. this felt so real to her. there was no way she would think for even one second that this was just some bet, and he was professor harrison. it felt to real for that. when he said there was nobody else he'd rather dance with she smiled, she couldn't help but think he meant it. if she knew who he really was she would have brushed it off immediately. professor harrison was all about flirting and shit like that. nothing serious ever crossed he guys mind..at least that's how she viewed him. she had no idea that it was professor harrison behind that mask. this guy was making her feel so special, the type of feeling she had been craving for a long while, she just never wanted to part from him. she felt like she could stay in is arms forever, even when the nice slow music would end..even when everyone went home. what was she missing all of her life? for once she had felt whole! where the hell has he been her whole life? " same here, i'm enjoying myself way to much to even think about dancing with anyone else..your good at this." she told him, complimenting him once again. rayne was quick to compliment. when he had told him his name, and whispered into his ear, she could not help but feel chills run up and down her spine, to want to turn her head a little so her lips met his. when he backed up saying that she was right she just wanted to pull him by his shirt into a kiss. what was with her tonight? this guy had some serious control over her and he did not even know..did he? did he know how much she wanted to kiss him? did he know that? she didn't think it would be right to do it out of nowhere. she didn't want him to think she was easy, because that had to be at least the last thing she was. rayne wasnt easy at all. she had mad respect for herself. besides the respect she had for herself she had a even bigger fear of rejection. she didnt make her way into situations that she could come out feeling rejected as ever. rejection truly hurt, and it did happen to her a few times in the past. dancing so close to him, she could not help but take in is cologne, a smell she would never forget. he had carried himself around so nicely, from looks, smells, and the way he moved with her out here on this patio. "well rayne, you look absolutely ravishing tonight." he told her, the same smile that was already on her face just grew a little bigger. " thank you, james. you look very nice as well. " she told him. she nodded when he said that he wasnt perfect, " well..right now you are." she told him. she understood no one was perfect, and when he said that she only wanted to know who he was more. her eyes never once parted from the connection it built with his, then she had told him she felt like she had sore into his eyes before, which was the truth. when he mentioned that she may of, she smirked. so it was obvious..she had no clue who he was..but he might as well of have known who she was..right? he had to of known. if he didn't he would not of have said that. when he said that she wasnt easy to look away from either, she blushed. she felt so beautiful around him, she didnt think she was bad looking..she was not insecure but she had never felt so great about herself. " well, thank you james..you're..to kind." she said refraining form leaning up and kissing him right then and there. then he had moved his hand to cradle on her neck, and she looked into his eyes once again, mentioning how he'd like to kiss her. oh god,..did he read minds?! then he had lifted her chin and she just felt like her hands were shaking, though no one could notice she felt like her whole body was shaking from how nervous she was. she store at his lips, that were only a few centimeters away from hers. then he had whispered the question to her, and she whispered back softly, so soft she wasnt sure he could hear it "yeah. " she whispered, closing her eyes lightly as her lips met his. it s like they were in their own little world. god, it had been so long since she had kissed anyone..she forgot how good it felt, she tighten her grip around him, deepening the kiss she shared with this guy..this guys she didnt even know, right? this wasnt like her at all. he had so much control over her. i'm heavily broken. and there's nothing i can do. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - chandler wasn't the type of guy who cared about girls he was involved with. in fact, he preferred to keep it on a first name friendly basis, even when they were being romantic. he wasn't the type to get all mushy, and he certainly didn't go out of his way to be mushy. in fact, he never had given a woman a nickname, ever. nicknames were for people you planned on seeing more than once. he hadn't had a nickname for a girl since he'd dated one in a long term relationship in college. now, he didn't have to worry about dating, but for some reason he felt like she was deserving of a nickname. she was funny and cute. she had a smile that made his stomach do flip-flops and he just couldn't explain it. "I think we're both lucky here." he said with a knowing grin and wondered how he'd managed to get so lucky as to fall into this perfect situation with her. it was fate. it was bliss. having her in his arms felt so right, that it was hard to believe that all he was doing was trying to get her into bed. not that he wouldn't mind that, but once he had her there, he might want to keep her there forever. that was never a thought that crossed his mind with other women, but with her, it seemed like a possibility.
he wished he didn't know who she was. he wished he wasn't lying to her about who he was, but he knew that she'd never want to be with him if he told her the truth. she was the kind of girl who wouldn't date a guy like him. he liked his women, and he didn't like being bound to any one girl. she seemed like the type of girl who only wanted relationships. he had only been in one steady relationship his whole life, and that had left his heart in ruins. he couldn't do that again. so instead, he would stick to the plan. charm the pants right off of her, and then tell her he just wants to be friends. that was what he'd planned on doing in the beginning, and now he had to follow through. he couldn't let that smile of hers, haunt him into anything else. she had so much power over him, and she didn't even realize it yet. "i'm glad i drive you to the point of distraction. that means that i managed to steal you away from all the fine gentlemen here tonight." he said with a grin, and wondered if there really were any fine gentlemen here tonight. his few guy friends might be around, keeping tabs on how he was doing, but he'd specifically kept his costume a secret so they wouldn't be able to find him if they did.
he wasn't sure why he was drawn to her, he just was. it was easy to compliment her, because she was deserving of the compliments. so when he had his lips against her skin, it was only natural that he'd never want to remove them. even though it was just her ear, he was content with soft whispers and the feeling of her skin brushing against his. he couldn't push her. he wasn't in harrison mode right now. "nobody is perfect." he said and tightened his arms around her and pulled her into a dip, smiling down at her, before flipping her back up to their original dancing position. he hadn't taken dancing lessons for nothing. his mother had pushed him into the classes, but over time he'd enjoyed them. he'd even had moderate success at competitions, but never anything that made him want to continue. he was a classical ballroom dancer, and he'd managed to keep his skills long after the practices ended. he didn't hate his parents for putting him through so many experiences. he had plenty of stories to tell, and women to meet. Where could he go wrong?
he heard her call him james and he flinched a little. he knew it was his middle name, but it still bugged him. he felt bad that he'd lied to her, but all would come to the light eventually. "you bring it out in me." he said with a smirk and splayed one of his hands across her back. she was so small compared to him. he loved that about her. she was like a gorgeous little woman, that he had to protect against the harshness of the world. He knew that it was his primal instincts as a man to protect her, but it was something about her specifically that brought it out in him. his fingers on her neck, and her face only a breath away from his, he couldn't help but feel tempted to kiss her whether she said yes or not. she wouldn't protest once their lips were together anyway. he made girls melt with his mouth, and hopefully she was no exception. he slowly pressed his lips against hers, and then smiled when she got more agressive with the kiss. she was the one who was moving things along, and not him. it was nice to let someone else take control for once.
he slid his arms down her sides and around to her lower back. he pressed her body against his and deepened the kiss even more. he loved this feeling. she kissed him like nobody had managed to kiss him before. he had never thought that fireworks existed when he kissed people. he thought it was a romantic fantasy of the female mind until he kissed Rayne. He pulled back from their kiss and pressed his forehead against hers, taking a deep breath. "If you only knew what you do to me." he said with a small laugh, his eyes still closed from their kiss.

i'm like a bird, i'll only fly away. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
[/font] when he said that they were both lucky, she could not help but smile again. he was right. " i think i'd have to agree." she told him. she could not tell. why would a guy lie him be here alone anyhow. he seemed charming enough, sweet enough, she didnt even know him and she was already wishing he'd never let go of her. he must have this control over all the ladies, not only her. what made him even interested in her tonight. if anyone knew about rayne they knew that she wasnt one to give it up that easy. she wasn't like that at all. so all their efforts were basically pointless if she didnt feel the same way, so there had to be a reason why he was trying so hard..or maybe he wasnt? maybe he just wanted to provide a lonely girl like herself company? " to be honest with you, i dont understand..i mean, its no surprise to me that i dont have a date here..well now i do. obviously." she said laughing a little, then getting back to the point. "but i mean..what about you? didnt bother to ask anyone? " she asked him. she could not really figure out why this guy was dateless. he seemed like the perfect charmer, not for one second did she think he was putting on some act. everything about him seemed so true, so real. not for one second would she ever think he was lying.or this was just some lame attempt to charm his way in her pants. why was it that sex was all a guy could think about? then he said, "i'm glad i drive you to the point of distraction. that means that i managed to steal you away from all the fine gentlemen here tonight." she laughed, shaking her head. " i dont think i'd want to spend my time with anyone else here tonight. i'm enjoying my time with you way to much. well, you do. and its working, and i'm not the type to get distracted easily..so how do you do it? tell me? let me in on your secrets." she flirted with him. when she flirted with a guy, she played it safe. she never went over board with it. she was just adding her bit of romance to the scene. this was a very romantic moment, since the time they started dancing..hell..probably since the time she said 'hey' to him. all the compliments he had gave her really did build her up. she wasnt insecure or anything like that but it was always nice to hear some nice words from a guy, especially one like himself. then as they continued to dance he told her nobody was perfect. then he had dipped her down as they danced, laying in his arms, she stayed looking into his eyes. definitely more of a physical attraction building from that moment. when he brought her back up she licked her lips, trying her hardest from telling him how much she wanted to kiss him " but some are pretty damn close to it." she said. she giggled when he mentioned that she brought out the kindness in him, " oh please, i'm sure you're just as kind to everyone as you're being right now." she told him. he was so tall, and she loved the way she had to look up to look into his eyes. he was so tall, and well built. he definitely had to be good looking. she was in for a win win situation. well, that she thought. little did she know he was professor harrison. the guy got on her nerves at all, she had no respect for him..she just had to respect him inside the classroom..him being her professor and all. then they had kissed, and she had added ore force into it, and he had returned it, and she had felt the 'sparks' that people would rant on about in the movies or the t.v shows. she was a little disappointed when the kiss broke off but it was obvious they would have to breathe some time from now. so breathing in her eyes closed too as well. then he had said that she had no idea what he did to her..okay..so this guy had to be like a secret admirer or something. he had to of known who she was.ugh. she wanted to know so desperately who he was. she kept her arms around him, leaning her forehead on his. her eyes still closed shut, replaying everything that just happened in her mind. "...i wish i did.. " she thought in her head. " these feelings cant be mutual..there's just no way.. things like this don't happen with me.." she told him, taking his hands into hers. " all i want to do is kiss you again..over.." she said, leaning in to kiss him softly, " and over again." she whispered against his lips. man, he had no idea what control he had over her. " i want to know..tell me..tell me everything ?" she asked him. there was no way these feelings were mutual. this perfect stranger had her at hello. she was absolutely head over heels about the moment..about him, to be honest. ugh. she just hoped, prayed in her head, that this wouldnt be some disappointment. that when they revealed who they really were, she would not be in for the shock of her life. little did she know..she was in for just that! [/blockquote][/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - i dont know where my home is.
