first of all , i'm curious as to when you were born and where. how old does that make you today ?

i was born on the twenty first of november. i was two weeks early, and had to stay in hospital for a week in intensive care. i stand at twenty one years old today. and, i was born in the heart of london, where we lived at the time.

whats your status here , exactly. can you tell us what you do for a living ?

i work here at st vincents, because i need the money to support me and jasper. within the faculty, i work as an english teacher. seeing as i've lived in both england and america, and now italy, i know what i'm doing when it comes to english. its english but like ... i teach the english students the important stuff, and the italian students hot to actuallly speak it, if they don't know it already !

and your parents , who are they and what do they like ?

my parents ? uhh, well. i don't reallly get along with them, we kind of fell out when i had jasper. as a kid, i was good and well behaved and they were proud of me - but as soon as i became pregnant, that all changed.

my mum is called genevieve o'connell, she's fifty two and works at the general hospital here in milan. she loves being a nurse, and it does reallly suit her - she's pleasent, helpful and sweet to people around her. i would still be close to my mum if it wasn't for my father, he's controllling and controls her. but anyway - as a kid, i grew up close to my mum. she'd protect me and support me for whatever i wanted to do. i'd tell her what i was keeping secret and know she'd give me advice, even if she didn't like it. yeah, i still love my mum a lot, and wish i could be close to her - but with my father stillll around, its hard to do that.

then, there's my father. his name is tobias o'connell, he's fifty eight years old. and i hate him, a lot. i never liked him as a child, always avoided him if i could. he'd got a bit of a temper on him and well, i don't like it. he'd always intimidate me when i was a child - he's a film director and so, is used to controllling. i never hated him as such, until last year when we fell out over my pregnancy with jasper. he didn't like the idea of me having a baby so young, wanted me to have an abortion. it got so bad he ended up cutting contact with me, and he and mum upped and moved. like i said, controlling. i hate him.

so what about siblings , are there any other important family members ?

i don't have any siblings - when i was younger, i always wished i did. someone to play with whom i could relate too. it would have been good. but with the current family situation, i'm quite glad i don't have any siblings. i don't think i'd be able to live without contact with them.

the only other person important to me is my son. his name is jasper o'connell. he's five months old and i'm not with his father anymore - he left me, long ago, when i first became pregnant, even though he didn't know i was. but anyway. jasper is the most important thing in my life right now and i couldn't bare to looose him. he's such a happy, comfortable baby, even though he can cause a bit of mischeif sometimes. me and callum had been trying for a baby for ages, so when jasper was born it was like a miracle.

i see , now could you tell me your favorite and least favorite things ?

likes - jasper, being a mum, the news, falling in love, romantic movies, chick flicks, vegeterianism, vodka, having children, comedy, laughing, her son's smile, coffee, teaching, writing, poetry, shakespeare, buying baby clothes, shopping, headbands, hot chocolate, wine, eating out, sunny weather, walking, pushchairs, children.

dislikes - vomit, thunderstorms, her father, being alone, cheats, liars, dishonesty, breast feeding, hospitals, labour, chili powder, marshmallows, theives, abuse, meat, slaughter, nasty smells, birds, rain, injuries, jasper crying, horror movies, mathematics, family disagreements, being annoyed, cheap clothes, being ripped off, weirdo's, kidnappers, living in fear.

so what about relationships , how do you find those ?

i don't think much of relationships anymore. i was involved with someone, his name was callum - he's jasper's father. we were in love and had been for at least two years. we'd been trying for a baby about a year after we got together, because we were both desperate to start a family. every month, we were disappointed. then, one day, i was late - and the doctor confirmed that jasper was growing. i went to tell callum and he was gone - he thought the reason we couldn't start a family was because of him. although i couldn't be angry at him, i was pissed off. and i'm still hung up over him - therefore, i don't believe in love anymore. i've felt it once, nothing could feel like that ever again. i'm fine with just me and jasper right now.

we've asked about family , significant others , but what about a pet ?

i have a little puppy - well, she's jaspers reallly. she's called lola and she's a king charles spaniel puppy. she's five months old and we’ve only had her for about a month. jasper absolutely adores her – he’s always cuddling her, and tries to get her into his crib.

last but not least - your best kept secret , what is it exactly ?

i think the secret i have is that i saw my father slap my mother once. it was when i was around fifteen years old, and they were having an argument. i went downstairs to get myself a drink, and when i reached the kitchen door i saw him hit her. i hurried back up stairs and pretended i hadn’t seen anything. i didn’t see it happen again – but that’s not to say it hasn’t. i’m keeping it a secret because i’m scared of my father. the only other secret i have is that i’m still in love with callum, and he doesn’t know about jasper – i can’t do anything about those, though.
